A lily among thorns...

Becoming.
I am still on the journey of
...who i am
...who i want to be
...and who God wants me to be
This is not my time of waiting, this is my time of discovering who i am. There is something within me the world desperately needs!
Batman not a real superhero…BULLCRAP!

Ok reason number one why Batman is Fricken awesome and so considered a “real” superhero. He has every reason in the world to be a self-loathing rich kid who does nothing but get laid and blow his inheritance. I mean he has the looks and money to but instead he sucks it up and protects people, and he does have some sort of honor factor because he USUALLY doesn’t kill his victims. Well the exception being Pre crisis and earth two batman. But I mean that’s the 80s for ya. He gets out of bed everyday. No matter how wounded and goes and kicks butt. Superman is just this whiny character who rants about how it’s a curse and how he has to do it and has way WAY More then one weakness. Batman technically has none because he overcame his ultimate weakness of being a mere human. He also does what superheros with abnormal powers can’t which is defeat a villain on his own accord. By using the skills, will Power, discipline and love for justice he trained himself to get. He has true talent because he had to actually acquire it by training and practicing daily. What if all the “super” heros with freak powers lost them? Would they have the skills and training it takes to take down the bad guy? No because they rely to much on it. Their powers make them super but what makes Batman a superhero is the fact he doesn’t have any powers. Weird but it does make sense. He wasn’t born super or had a freak accident he made himself super! He also has to think on his feet alot of the time to overcompensate for the fact he can t fly or throw something heavy. Not only does he think on his feet he over thinks. He’s a great detective, and let’s face it can take down any “super” hero because he has thought ahead of time the moves they would try to make and knows each one of their weaknesses. That’s why the smart superheros don’t question him, but actually respect him. And in a way he does in fact have superpowers. He is at the max of his intelligence and physical capabilities. Who else can you find that can invent, create, plan, and execute like Batman? He’s a genius and a master at what a dozen martial arts!! And if Batman doesn’t count as a Superhero then either does Captain America. Think about it. Captain America started off as having human abilities that were considered weak but took a serum that made them all at the peak of their performance. Just like Batman! But Batman didnt have to take some serum. :) so you can say what makes someone a “superhero” is their willingness and love for justice. Because none of them really have to do anything with the talent they have, it’s all a matter of choice. So really anyone can choose to be a superhero. Choices are what makes you, in anything in life. And Batman CHOOSE to be the BEST SUPERHERO EVER. it wasn’t forced on him. Really it didn’t even choose him. He Choose it. All we are in life really are our choices.

The Body of Christ, The Church, Devil’s Advocate

The Church is like a mummy. We make the body look presentable on the outside well underneath is a rotting corpse. It smells good, looks good, but underneath is falling apart. We don’t use all the parts that are essential to a body functioning. When this happens that part dies, then later has to be amputated off. Churches need to rise together and do what God wants. Serve, rescue, heal the broken and the sick. Instead each house is competing against one another. We compete for the broken soul. The Church wants credit for what the Spirit does. When what really needs to happen is a rallying together in unity in the Spirit then acting in body. We play devils advocate by making the lost and broken just “another soul to redeem” rather a sinner who hasn’t realized they are a really a saint. Something needs to be stirred in THIS generation. Churches need to act together and not against. We need to take back our nation, our globe. When this happens our world will know change.

One Day 04•10•12. For those of you who care, One Day was an event sponsored by Toms. Toms challenges you not only to raise awareness of those less fortunate but to also take a walk in someones else shoes by leaving your shoes behind for One Day. That’s it. One Day without shoes. It was such an eye opening experience and so happy that I was able to have a memory like this. Toby and I took it a little too far…we painted the bottoms of our feet with baby blue paint and walked all over ABQ. So if you in the area and see blue footprints. You “know” who they belong to.

Myrisa Prettypaint

This little girl I use to babysit was on the news today.
I remember being their favorite babysitter.
I remember always playing with them and being over at their house.
I remember her full of life.
I remember her incredible passion for dance.
I remember teaching her little sister how to ride a bike.
I have all these memories of her. Of them both.
She was on the news today for attempted suicide.
She’s 11.
Something needs to be done in this world. Something needs to change. This can’t be right.

I recently got this tattoo. And I love it. The word is Agape and means God’s love in Greek. Or just love. The unconditional, self-scarficing, divine and active love.
